Year 5 are taught by Mrs King and Mrs Jones and are supported by Mrs Wainwright throughout the week. We hope you enjoy exploring our page! 
 
 

What are we studying this term? 

Our topic this term is Ancient Egypt. During this topic we will be exploring where and when the Ancient Egyptians first appeared, what life was like for them and how farming was a vital part of their everyday life. 
 
In Science the children will be learning about properties and changes of materials this half term. Next half term, we will be learning about Forces. 
 
In ICT the children continue to blog using tapestry and will be learning about cryptography. 
 
During RE lessons, we will be learning about Hinduism. 
 
PE is dance! We will be doing this indoors so please make sure you have your kit in school on a Tuesday and a Wednesday. 
Please note that homework is set on a Friday and due in on a Wednesday, at the latest. Please encourage your child to ask any questions they may have on a Monday or a Tuesday to ensure their homework is completed on time.  
Indoor PE kit: 
White T -shirt and navy or black shorts. 
No shoes please.
