This term, Year 3 will have PE on Mondays. We will be learning team building and problem solving through Outdoor and Adventurous activites. This is supported by Cambridge United.
Children can wear a sweatshirt and jogging bottoms if the weather is cold. Plesae ensure these are stil navy blue.
Children will also need a change of shoes. Trainers are fine.

Don't forget swimming kit on Wednesdays. Swimming runs from 10th January until 21st March 2018.
Children will need a swimming costume and towel. They can also wear goggles and a swimming cap if they wish.
A coat with a hood is advisable as it can be very chilly walking back, especially with wet hair!

Homework will be given on Fridays. There will be some Maths work and English or Topic. This will always be linked to work in class that week.
Children should return this by Wednesday please. If there are any issues, please encourage your child to ask us about the work before Wednesday.
It would be really useful if you could write a comment to let us know how much help your child needed/received to complete the work.

We encourage you to hear your child read at home at least 3 times a week. Plesae record any reading your child does at home in their reading journal. Every child in Year 3 currently has a levelled reading book, which we expect them to read. Any additional reading is great too. Children can change their book whenever they have finished it.
Great progress in reading in Year 3! Keep it up!

Children are given weekly spellings to practise at home. These are in their reading journals. Please encourage your child to practise at home little and often as much as possible. Children will be tested on their spellings on Fridays.
